November is national American Indian Heritage month, and the current READ Book Club selection is “What Does Justice Look Like? The Struggle for Liberation in Dakota Homeland” by Waziyatawin. The book explores how we can embark on a path of respectful coexistence with the original peoples of Minnesota who have suffered from genocide, ethnic cleansing, mass executions, death marches, broken treaties and land theft since their homelands were invaded more than 200 years ago.
