New Outlook icon makes it easier to update PerformMinneapolis

A new Outlook icon makes it easier for you to save and share feedback you’ve received on your work.. The icon will take you directly to Halogen, the City’s online performance management system, where you can add feedback you receive via email to your “brag file,” documenting your accomplishments and kudos throughout the year.

Feedback saved in Halogen can be attached to your self-appraisal and your performance appraisal. It’s often difficult to remember all the good things you’ve done over an entire year and saving feedback and notes throughout the year makes it easier.

Managers and supervisors

The new Outlook icon also allows managers and supervisors to more easily provide and document feedback on their employees performance. Employees who receive regular feedback and recognition from their supervisors report job satisfaction 31 percent higher than their peers, and higher job satisfaction correlates with higher productivity and performance.

If you’re not regularly giving feedback, your team likely isn’t giving its best. The City challenges managers and supervisors to give feedback in Halogen at least once a week. Here are few ideas to get you started:

How to get the Outlook icon

To add the Outlook icon, ask the IT Service Desk for it and then follow these instructions.
