Learn to publish City web content

Learn the basics of publishing on CityTalk and the City’s public website in a daylong training:

9 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, or 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7  
Public Service Center, Room 13B (basement computer lab)

Who should take the training

The training is a requirement before employees can post to CityTalk or the City’s website. Employees who already have access to the content management system are also encouraged to attend the training to refresh their skills and learn more about effective writing and presenting content on the web.

Since there are only 12 seats available in the computer lab, enroll as soon as possible to guarantee a spot. Seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

How to enroll

  1. Log in to COMET-HR.
  2. Click “Learning and Development.”  
  3. Type “web content” in the “Search for Learning” text box and press enter.
  4. Click “Enroll” next to the class you’d like to attend.
  5. Review the class information and click “Submit Enrollment.”

If you successfully enrolled, you will receive a class confirmation email within an hour.
