A note from City Coordinator Spencer Cronk
The new year offers us a great opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments and plan for more successes, and we have a lot to be proud of from last year. See a list of some of our accomplishments from 2016. This progress will leave a legacy for generations.
When we work together, we achieve great things. Looking ahead to 2017, we have opportunities to collaborate on several big projects including:
- Reopening the signature street of Downtown, Nicollet Mall.
- Preparing for ESPN’s X Games, the Super Bowl and the 2019 Final Four.
- Engaging with the community to study increasing the minimum wage.
- Working to develop high performance workplaces that improve the employee and public experience and better integrate people, places and technology.
And that’s just a sample of our important work. I look forward to joining you in these efforts with our focus always on our values: serving the public well by collaborating, driving toward results, building public trust, engaging the community and providing high-quality, innovative services.
Thank you for your public service and dedication to our vision for the city:
Minneapolis is a growing and vibrant world-class city with a flourishing economy and a pristine environment, where all people are safe, healthy and have equitable opportunities for success and happiness.
You make a difference every day in the work you do for Minneapolis residents, workers and visitors.
