Learn how to work more effectively with coworkers from different generations
Learn to communicate more effectively with your coworkers across generations in the next Foundation of Equity course from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 3, at the Minneapolis Central Library.
For the first time in history, there are five generations in the workplace. In some cases, these generations have been able to create alliances that leverage diversity and provide innovative strategies. Unfortunately, the generational differences have also created tension fostered by unconscious bias and assumptions that can affect communication and disrupt the ability of generations to work together.
As seasoned employees leave the workplace without transferring valuable knowledge and skills to employees who carry on the work, cross-generational communication has become even more important.
