Breanna Patsch, administrative analyst II
Development Services, Community Planning and Economic Development
Program Assistant Marques Olson nominated Patsch for the great attitude she maintains no matter the situation:
“Patsch has been a leading force in Construction Code Services with the ELMS launch, going above and beyond to make sure people feel comfortable with the system. She was a champion for our department, fighting to ensure ELMS is where we needed it to be so we could be efficient and consistent in our jobs.
“Patsch is the backbone of the Construction Code Services program. With the retirement of its supervisor, she will be taking on more responsibility and accountability that she doesn't need to, to keep things working smoothly. She leads by example by going above and beyond her job description … She has stepped up as the leader of the Construction Code Services, even though it’s not in her job description. She is willing to take on any project and challenge ... She educated herself in all the departments, so she is an invaluable resource that is still more than willing to answer any questions, and help problem-solve any issue.”
“The biggest and most positive impact I believe she's contributed to is with ELMS. We were all hesitant and a little afraid about what this program would actually be before it launched … Patsch kept a positive attitude about the change, was one of the trainers for the ELMS classes but still kept up with all her work and still supported the Construction Code Services staff any way possible. She was instrumental in meetings with the development teams throughout the year with what Construction Code Services needed. Once launch happened, she was in daily and pretty consistent contact with the ELMS support staff and IT. She's personally showed me and all my other coworkers how to perform our jobs within this new system. She has fought and submitted endless tickets for updates and changes to the system so our department will be at its best.
“ … Patsch was in my position before I was hired by the City … She streamlined and cleaned up the standard operating procedures in my department with the full support of our supervisor. She made documents with step-by-step notations on how to do my job successfully and efficiently. She has never shied away from others’ ideas though. I have a few times found ways to make my job more efficient. She was more than happy to hear me out; she would look at the change from all angles to see if it would hurt a different step or function of a specific task, and then help me present it to our supervisor. She will not hesitate to use the ideas of people around her, and gives proper thanks and acknowledgment to supervisors.”
