Get the next READ Book Club selection

The next selection for the City’s READ book club is “What it Means When a Man Falls From the Sky” by Lesley Arimah. The collection of fictional short stories explore the Nigerian experience and the struggle to navigate conflicting cultures and reconcile conflicting desires and needs.

Author reading April 26

Attend a reading with the author from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at the Loft at Open Book. Get an advanced ticket to attend.

Advanced tickets guarantee a general admission seat and help cover the Loft's costs to host the event. Pay-what-you-can tickets are available at the door 30 minutes before the event on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open 30 minutes before the event, and seating is not assigned.

About the book club

READ stands for Reading for Equity And Diversity. The book club selects books focused on equity and inclusion and holds book club discussions periodically. Watch Minneapolis Matters and CityTalk for the latest selections and book club meeting notices.
