City Hall basement renovation to temporarily move seating, vending machines
The vending machines, tables and chairs in the basement of Minneapolis City Hall/Hennepin County Courthouse are being temporarily moved up one floor due to an upcoming renovation project. You can find the vending machines and furniture in the café seating area on the ground floor near the west elevator bay. Renovation of the basement commons will begin in May and is planned for completion by December. The renovations are part of the Municipal Building Commission’s scheduled life safety and mechanical upgrade work in City Hall.
Staff and visitors will have access to the tunnel, at least one set of elevators and the Document Solutions Center during the renovation. The vending machines, tables and chairs will return to the basement after the work is completed. Call the Municipal Building Commission at 612-596-9512 with any questions.
