Be a part of the Minneapolis Black Employee Network
Be a part of the Minneapolis Black Employee Network (MBEN), a professional development group created by black employees to enhance employee work experiences through networking and support. Members share the common purpose of supporting the City’s objective of recruiting and retaining a diverse, talented and engaged workforce. MBEN is open to all City employees.
Attend the general meeting from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 18, in City Hall Room 333 to learn more about the group.
There are several ways to get involved including helping identify professional development activities, and providing guidance and emotional support for co-workers and colleagues. Additionally, MBEN members will have opportunities throughout the year to engage with people from the community and the enterprise on topics that are relevant to black employees who work for the City of Minneapolis.
Watch for more information in future Minneapolis Matters on upcoming MBEN events, and mark your calendar for the speaker series event, MBEN Talks, June 21. For more information about MBEN or to be added to the distribution list, please contact MBENinfo@minneapolismn.gov.
