Celebrate the Fourth of July
Monday, July 3, and Tuesday, July 4, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board hosts the Red, White and Boom Fourth of July celebration. The free two-day event is held along the downtown Minneapolis Riverfront and features live music, food, family activities and fireworks.
Monday, July 3
- Live music, 7-8:30, followed by the movie “Captain America: Civil War” starting at dusk at Nicollet Island.
Tuesday, July 4
- Live music and a “family fun zone” with jugglers, magicians, face painting and balloon artists, 6-10 p.m. at Mill Ruins Park and Father Hennepin Bluff Park.
- Fireworks, 10 p.m. (shot off from Water Power Park). Find a viewing area.
