Minneapolis Black Employee Network meets Thursday, July 13
Be a part of the Minneapolis Black Employee Network, a professional development group created by black employees to enhance employee work experiences through networking and support. Members share the common purpose of supporting the City’s objective of recruiting and retaining a diverse, talented and engaged workforce. The group is open to all City employees.
Come to the next meeting from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 13, in City Hall Room 319, to learn more about the group. The meeting will focus on calling for volunteers for the group’s various committees including programs and events, health and wellness, professional development and communications.
There are several ways to get involved including helping identify professional development activities and providing guidance and emotional support for co-workers and colleagues. Members will also have opportunities throughout the year to engage with people from the community and the enterprise on topics that are relevant to black employees who work for the City of Minneapolis.
