Free ice cream, multicultural entertainment and children’s activities at Minneapolis Sister Cities celebration

Celebrate Minneapolis and its Sister Cities with ice cream, multicultural entertainment, children’s activities and refreshments at Minneapolis Sister Cities Day from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 16, at Nicollet Island Pavilion, 40 Power St. The free, family-friendly event highlights the Sister City relationships between the City of Minneapolis and its 12 Sister Cities:

There will be a special spotlight this year on the 25th anniversary of the Sister City relationship with Harbin, China.

The international organization focuses on creating and strengthening partnerships between communities around sustainability and economic development, arts and culture, youth and education, and humanitarian assistance.
