Next installment of the MN GARE Racial Equity speaker series Aug. 23
The next installment of the Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE) MN Racial Equity speaker series explores the topic “Moving Elected Leadership to Advance Racial Equity” at an event on Aug. 23 featuring speaker Leon Andrews, director of the Race, Equity and Leadership (REAL) program of the National League of Cities. The event is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of racial equity by learning from the work of others in the field. Time will also be devoted to strategizing and sharing ideas on how to leverage elected leadership to advance racial equity in participating jurisdictions and communities.

The speaker series is part of a broader training offered by The Government Alliance on Race and Equity in partnership with the League of Minnesota Cities for a cohort of 17 governmental jurisdictions focused on advancing racial equity, including the City of Minneapolis.
