LIMS: City begins using new system for handling council agenda items
The City has a new system for preparing, reviewing and submitting City Council items and looking up City Council records and videos. The legislative information management system (LIMS) has launched internally. Everyone who has a role in preparing, reviewing, approving and submitting agenda items will need to use the new system starting with the Sept. 25-Oct. 6 City Council cycle.
LIMS will make it easier for everyone to get the council information they want. Starting Monday, Sept. 11, it will be available on the public website at lims.minneapolismn.gov.
Working in LIMS
To use LIMS on the City network, go to the City Clerk’s Office’s CityTalk intranet page. The big blue button that says “enter LIMS” will take you to the LIMS dashboard. From here, you can:
- Create and submit RCAs using your department’s submission process.
- Access, review, modify and approve RCAs.
- Access and preview submitted RCAs.
- Preview draft agendas before the agenda-setting meetings.
- Track RCAs and files throughout the process, from council introduction through final action.
