Sign up for the next class in the Foundations of Equity certificate program

The City Coordinator’s Equity and Inclusion team is hosting “How does Unconscious Bias Affect my Workplace, Engagement and Performance?” from 10–11:30 a.m. Oct. 5 in the MLK Conference Room (241) in City Hall. You can sign up to take this class in person or online at the same time.

Unconscious bias impacts individual behavior and interactions within teams. Although you cannot eliminate it, you can positively address unconscious bias by merely acknowledging it exists and can impact decision-making.

Sign up via COMET to take the class in person or online:

  1. Log in to COMET-HR.
  2. Click “Learning and Development.”
  3. Enter keywords from the name of the class in the search (e.g., “unconscious bias”).
  4. Click “Enroll.”

This is the fifth and final class in the current series of the Foundations of Equity certificate program. The program consists of five classes to foster workplace equity and inclusion. Get tools and strategies to help City workplaces value, respect and leverage diversity more. Email EquityandInclusion@mineapolismn.gov with questions.
