Ricka Stenerson named director of Total Compensation Division in Human Resources
Ricka Stenerson is the new director of Total Compensation in the Human Resources Department. The new Total Compensation Division will strategically focus on linking monetary employee rewards (compensation, wellness and benefits) and aligning them to City goals and the City’s mission and business objectives.
Stenerson is a results-oriented leader who brings nearly 30 years of experience in human resources and benefits, including 20 years with the State of Minnesota Enterprise Human Resources Division of the Minnesota Management and Budget. She has served in enterprise-wide leadership roles in both human resources and benefits.
She also brings a wealth of knowledge around health plan management, with experience working at a large national health plan in a strategic account executive role as well as at a local employee benefits consulting group.
Stenerson has a strong background in communications and was also responsible for leading an initiative at the State that fostered stronger relationships, partnerships and integration among the functions of recruitment, compensation, classification, equal employment opportunity/diversity and inclusion, and the human resources information system around the State’s hiring process.
As part of her new role, Stenerson will oversee the classification and compensation functions in addition to benefits, wellness and leave administration.
