Save on tuition at Hamline University’s School of Business

City employees now save on tuition and fees at Hamline University’s School of Business.

The City offers this opportunity as a response to the 2014 My Minneapolis Employee Engagement Survey, which showed that City employees seek more promising futures in their careers here. The discounted tuition rates provide access to more affordable educational opportunities, which can lead to career advancement.

This year, Hamline University is extending the learning partner benefit coverage to include all the master’s programs in the School of Business (MPA, MBA and master of nonprofit management) as well as the master’s in the study of law, the Master of Arts in teaching and the Master of Arts in education.

Hamline University is also increasing the master’s in public administration tuition benefit from $1,600 per year to 10 percent per credit hour for the entire program, which results in substantial savings for employees. The added benefit of switching from a dollar amount to a percentage amount is that the benefit will automatically adjust as tuition changes.

City employees will continue to get 20 percent off registration fees and tuition for events or certificates in the Center for Public Administration and Leadership for this academic year. This discount will lower to 10 percent off registration fees and tuition going forward. Certificate offerings include:

Other educational partnerships

City employees can also take advantage of discounts at Augsburg College and Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
