Minneapolis police recognize staff, civilians at annual awards ceremony

Minneapolis Police Chief Tim Dolan, police administration staff, officers and their family members were on hand Tuesday, April 19 as the department recognized officers, civilians and staff from a number of different agencies at its annual award ceremony. The awards, presented at the City's Emergency Operations Training Facility, included the awards of valor, lifesaving awards and the ‘Chief’s Awards of Merit.’

Also, following the awards ceremony, a dedication ceremony of the Strategic Information Center was held to honor late Minneapolis Police Department Captain Otto Wagenpfeil who passed away in 2010.
