Disaster Recovery Center will continue helping tornado victims through the weekend

Weekend hours have now been set for the Disaster Recovery Center in north Minneapolis to continue serving people affected by the May 22 tornado. The center offers a variety of services for tornado victims at Farview Recreation Center at 621 29th Ave. N. In its first two days of operation, more than 2,000 people have been helped at the center. In the next few days, the center will be open:

Organizers will evaluate the hours of the center beyond Tuesday based on the needs of the community.

Minneapolis 311 will also be open this weekend to answer calls related to the tornado. The call center will be open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
