The 27^th Annual Minneapolis National Night Out will be Tuesday, August 3, 2010

National Night Out 2010 is coming up! Look forward to the 27^th Annual NNO to occur on Tuesday, August 3, 2010.

National Night Out is an annual nationwide event that encourages residents to get out in the community, holding block parties and getting to know their neighbors as a way to encourage crime prevention. It's a great way to promote community-police partnerships and enjoy a Minnesota summer evening surrounded by friends and family. For more information, see the Minneapolis NNO mission statement.

Whether it's your first time planning an event or you're continuing a tradition of years on your block, you can register your event through 311. Remember! If you want to block your street, you can do so for free before July 21. Note that we've extended the deadline from July 14 to July 21! Not all streets can be blocked, depending on traffic flow. After July 21, there is a fee.
