The 2nd Precinct's service area is bounded by the Mississippi River on the west and south, 37th Avenue NE on the north, and the cities of St. Anthony and St. Paul on the east. The total area of the 2nd Precinct is about 7,900 acres.
According to the 2000 Census, the population stands at about 61,000. There are 19 neighborhoods within the Precinct. They include Audubon Park, Beltrami, Bottineau, Columbia, Como, Holland, Logan Park, Marcy Holmes, Marshall Terrace, Mid-City Industrial, Nicollet Island, Northeast Park, Prospect Park, Sheridan, St. Anthony East, St. Anthony West, University of Minnesota, Waite Park and Windom Park.
