Training UnitThe Training Unit is comprised of the Field Training Program, MPD Police Academy, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) and the MPD Range. The Training Unit facilitates all training in the department, including the Citizens’ Academy and in-service training, defensive tactics training, driving training and numerous other programs to maintain professional standards, legal requirements and professional development for MPD personnel.
