SOD Patrol Officers stood by as a CART Team for the Occupy MN protest. There were very few problems. When it became clear a CART Team would not be needed, officers patrolled the First Preicnct, and assisted on a few other calls in other precincts. All-in-all, it was an uneventful night.

Saturday October 8th
SOD Patrol Officers assisted the First Precinct with the Occupy MN protest and the Zombie Pub crawl. The Occupy MN protest was very uneventful. The Zombie Pub crawl was a huge event, with well over 10,000 participants. Eventually, the streets in the 7 Corners area became clogged with vehicles and people, making it almost impossible for emergency vehicles to respond to incidents in the area. SOD Patrol Officers then manned a 1280 van and served as a CART team with less lethal options in case of a help call or an officer rescue was needed. Luckily, there were no major incidents.
