Police Reports/Incident and Arrest

Police reports may be requested in person, telephone or fax.

Fees may apply to requests for large volumes of data and requests requiring extensive time and research. Fees also apply to all printed materials. Staff from the Records Information Unit will contact you if fees apply before processing your request. See Fee Schedule.

  • If you are coming to Room 31 in person, call the Records Information Unit first to make sure your report is available.
  • Police reports may also be viewed free of charge at the public information computer in Room 31.
  • Police reports are available beginning in the year 1990. All reports are processed in accordance with the State of Minnesota Data Privacy and Practices Law and department policy.
