What is a Clearance Letter?
A Clearance Letter is a formal document from the Minneapolis Police Department attesting that an individual does not have an arrest record with the Minneapolis Police Department. - Person must 18 years or older
- No arrests in Minneapolis or citations by the Minneapolis Police Department
How do I get a Clearance Letter?
To request in person, come to:

Bring:
- Valid photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, state ID or passport)
- $6.25 cash, check or money order payable to the City of Minneapolis
- Credit cards not accepted
Mail your request and payment to:

Include:
- Photocopy of valid ID
- Check/money order for $6.25 (payable to City of Minneapolis)
