Assistant Chief of Police Sharon Lubinski

I have 28 years in law enforcement including eight years with the Dane County Sheriff’s Department in Madison, Wisconsin and currently 20 years with the Minneapolis Police Department.

I have 10 years of command experience, including serving as Precinct Commander for downtown Minneapolis and three years as Deputy Chief of Patrol. As Assistant Chief of Police, I run the department’s daily overall operations.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, a Master’s Degree from Hamline University; and I am currently a doctoral student in Public Administration at Hamline University. I am part of the community faculty at Metropolitan State University in the School of Criminal Justice.

In 2002, I received the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) Gary P. Hayes Leadership Award.
