Public Works CADD Standards
The establishment of CADD (Computer-Aided Drafting and Design) standards is to ensure uniform standards for the computer aided design and drafting of Capital & Non-Capital Improvement Projects. These standards are to be used in the generation of electronic plans by both internal users and consultants doing business with the City of Minneapolis. The establishment of CADD standards effectively enables:
- Project data to be shared easily between functional areas (bridge, sewer, street, traffic, and water) in an integrated manner throughout the project design process.
- Integration of consultant electronic deliverables with City of Minneapolis Capital & Non-Capital Improvement Projects.
Use of these files allows designers to create CADD documents that adhere to the City of Minneapolis’s Public Works Department Public Works CADD standards for engineering plans.
