Applying for a Sidewalk Inspection Permit
According to City Ordinance, a Sidewalk Inspection Permit must be obtained before any sidewalk repairs are performed. The purpose of this section is to provide the applicant with the necessary steps to secure this sidewalk inspection permit. Follow these steps before you start work:
- Complete the online application through the RoWay system. First-time users in this system will be required to create a login.
- After your sidewalk construction permit is processed in RoWay, you will receive an email with an attachment from Minneapolis Sidewalk Inspections.
- Your permit fee is based on the scope of your work for your project. Please follow the instructions on where to send your fee. Do not send your permit fee to the Sidewalk Inspections Department.
- Once your fee payment has been processed by the Finance Department of the City of Minneapolis, you will receive your Sidewalk Construction Permit (via email).
