Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) Water Education Program
MPRB supports a variety of educational programming including cable TV programming, community and school outreach programs, Billy Bass and Crystal Clear programs, and the Minneapolis Annual Earth Day Watershed Clean-Up.
These programs are part of the Public Education and Outreach project.
Project WET – Water Education for Teachers
Project WET is a national K-12 water education curriculum and training program offered locally through the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. The Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide and teacher online portal offer over 100 engaging, interdisciplinary and easy to use activities focused on all aspects of water in our lives.
Sharing Environmental Education Knowledge (SEEK)
The Minnesota Office of Environment Assistance maintains a website called SEEK, where you can look for programs, curricula, videos, organizations and more, in this interactive directory of environmental education resources in Minnesota.
Water Resources Center
The University of Minnesota Extension Service offers a broad array of programming and materials dealing with water quality, containing information for citizens interested in water quality, for water educators and for Extension personnel.
Metro WaterShed Partners
WaterShed Partners, is an innovative, dynamic coalition of over 60 public, private and non-profit organizations in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul, Minnesota area. Through collaborative education and outreach, it promotes a public understanding that inspires people to act to protect water quality in their watershed.
Healthy Water, Healthy People
This Water Quality Education Program offers hands-on activity guides, testing kits, training and much more. Project WET and the Hach Scientific Foundation sponsor this program.
Minnesota Water- Let's Keep It Clean!
Metro WaterShed Partners maintains a web site called Minnesota Water- Let's Keep It Clean! This web site is an educational resource for water quality information, updates, and seasonal tips for better water quality.
