Public Safety

Public safety is the City of Minneapolis' number one priority, and the city has seen significant gains in public safety in recent years, with decreasing crime and growing numbers of block clubs, creating partnerships between residents and the police. Maintaining and continuing that progress has remained the top priority, even in the face of significant budget cuts brought about by cuts in state funding. American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding is helping Minneapolis continue to get results in keeping Minneapolis a safe place to call home.
