Yard Waste: Brush, Grass Clippings, Leaves, and Yard Trimmings

Customers of Minneapolis Solid Waste & Recycling services, may place yard waste next to the garbage cart. Yard waste is collected every garbage day.

Yard waste is collected mid-April through mid-November, weather permitting. Yard waste is collect by a special truck, not your regular garbage truck.

If you are willing to take this item to a commercial location, and pay a fee, call our customer service staff at (612) 673-2917 for locations.

State law prohibits disposing of yard waste with the garbage. South Transfer Station does not accept yard waste.

 

Yogurt Tubs

Bag and place inside the garbage cart. We do not accept this item in the recycling program.

Market for this plastic is poor. These plastics are usually a lower quality than bottles.
