Electronics Recycling

Up to two (2) of the following electronics may be placed at your collection point on your recycling day.  Place a note on the items that says “For Solid Waste”.  The garbage crew will place a sticker on your item(s) saying they’ll be back, and a different truck will be by the following business day to pick them up.  The following electronic items may be left at the collection point (alley or curb) on your recycling day for pick up:

The electronics listed above can also be dropped off at either of Hennepin County’s HHW & Recycling Drop-Off Facilities. Hennepin County will also accept additional electronics, power tools, and electronic media that will not be picked up at your collection point by City crews. Below is a brief list of these items and links to Hennepin County’s Green Disposal Guide categories. 

Electronics and Battery Operated Devices accepted at Hennepin County HHW Facilities

Answering machines, arcade games, audio equipment, calculators, cassette or mp3 players, clocks, cordless shavers and groomers, data privacy and storage devices, electric toothbrushes, electronic books, electronic games, musical greeting cards, typewriters, video game systems, etc. For a complete list and preparation requirements, see Electronics on Hennepin County's Green Disposal Guide or Battery Operated Devices on Hennepin County's Green Disposal Guide.

Power Tools accepted at Hennepin County HHW Facilities

Cordless drills and other cordless tools, gas power tools, hand vacuums, and rechargeable tools. For a complete list and preparation requirements, see Power Tools on Hennepin County's Green Disposal Guide.

Electronics media accepted at Hennepin County HHW Facilities

Blu-ray discs, CDs, DVDs, flash drives, memory cards, and video game cartridges. 

Small Appliances and Electric Items accepted at Hennepin County HHW Facilities  

Small electric items are accepted for scrap metal only. All non-metal parts, with the exception of electrical cords, must be removed from these items before bringing to the facility. Some examples include: bread makers, coffee pots, curling irons, electric can openers, hair dryers, hair straighteners, paper shredders, tea pots, toasters and toaster ovens. For a complete list, see Small Electric Items on Hennepin County's Green Disposal Guide.

the job title of the three highest paid employees along with their base salary. For 2018 these were:
1. City Attorney, $186,490
2. Assistant City Coordinator Convention Center, $183,600
3. Director Public Works, $181,191
