About Jeremy Schroeder
I'm proud to represent Ward 11, home to the diverse and vibrant neighborhoods of south-central Minneapolis. Working together, we can continue to improve our community and ensure it's a place where all of us — from working families to independent businesses — can thrive. I have spent my career leading campaigns on behalf of better government, workers' rights, human rights and equity.
Before my election on Nov. 7, 2017, I served as Policy Director of the Minnesota Housing Partnership, advocating for affordable housing at the federal, state and regional levels. I also previously served as Executive Director of Common Cause Minnesota, where I led efforts to reform Minnesota's redistricting process and increase government transparency.
Prior to that, I led a successful push to end capital punishment in Illinois as Executive Director of the Illinois Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty. I hold a law degree from the University of District of Columbia Law School and an undergraduate engineering degree from Marquette University.
