Lyndale Avenue/Minnehaha Creek Bridge Replacement
Background
The bridge spanning Minnehaha Creek will be replaced in 2012. This bridge no longer meets traffic demand and is in deteriorated condition. It is currently safe for operation, but has a sufficiency rating of 35.2 out of 100 and is classified as "structurally deficient." Replacement of the bridge is separate from the road reconstruction projects currently underway north of Minnehaha Parkway and planned for south of the Creek beginning in Spring of 2012.
In order to ensure the work can be completed in one construction season, the County pushed up the start of the project to January 17th.
