35th Ave. NE and Tyler St. NE storm drain improvements
The City replaced and enlarged the storm main on 35th Ave. NE from Central Ave. NE to Ulysses St. NE. The City also replaced and enlarged the storm main on Tyler St. NE from 35th Ave. NE to 36th Ave. NE.

The storm sewer along 35th Ave. NE was installed in 1963, and the storm sewer along Tyler St. NE was installed in 1964. Both need to be rehabilitated. We’ll replace roughly 4,300 feet of reinforced concrete pipe ranging in size from 24 inches to 72 inches. We’ll also replace manholes and catch basins. At the same time, we’ll rehabilitate concrete panels where needed on both streets.
2020 - 2021
We expect to begin construction in the spring of 2020.
Work on the storm main will continue through 2020, and paving work may continue into Spring 2021.

Expect the following temporary traffic impacts:

- Lane restrictions
- Intersection reductions
- Parking restrictions
- Revised pedestrian and bicycle routes
Residents, businesses and visitors may experience:
- Noise
- Vibration
- Dust in work areas
