Procedures for Buying a Vacant Lot
CPED has an inventory of properties in the city for sale for housing. New properties are initially offered for sale in Finance and Commerce. The Vacant Lot List includes the property address, lot dimensions and selling price. If you are unable to view the Vacant Lot List online, call (612) 673-5245, or visit CPED offices at 105 Fifth Avenue South, Crown Roller Mill Building, Suite 200 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The sale of properties to prospective buyers is contingent on design criteria and is subject to the approval of the City Council. Prices are determined by appraisals and are not negotiable. They City has the right to refuse any and all proposals received.
Procedures for Purchasing Lots for Housing: This document provides instructions on how to purchase housing lots from CPED, including a checklist to ensure that your offer is complete. Incomplete offers will not be processed.
