Procedures for Buying a Vacant Lot
CPED has an inventory of properties in the city for sale for housing. New properties are initially offered for sale in the Star Tribune, on Sundays in the classified section #717 and in Finance and Commerce. Properties remaining after the original advertising are added to the lot list. The lot list, including the address of the property, lot dimensions and selling price, is available at the link listed above, by calling (612) 673-5225 or by visiting CPED offices in Minneapolis at 105 Fifth Ave. S., Crown Roller Building, Suite 200, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The sale of properties to prospective buyers is contingent on design criteria and is subject to the approval of the City Council. Prices are determined by appraisals and are not negotiable. CPED has the right to refuse any and all proposals received.
