How can I get technical help with NEOGOV?

For technical help with the online application, contact NEOGOV customer support:

  • Call 855-524-5627
  • Hours: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. Central time, Monday – Friday

I am on an eligible list. What does this mean?

It means you meet the job qualifications and passed any tests, and a hiring manager can consider you. We'll also put you on a list of eligible candidates for future open jobs until the list expires.

I want to make a change to my application. Can I?

No, you cannot change your application in the system after you've submitted it. However, you can call Human Resources and ask about modifying your application or attachments. This may or may not be possible depending on where they are in the hiring process.

Can I check on where my application is in the process?

How long is the hiring process?

It can take anywhere from 45 to 60 days depending on the position. Hiring for some roles may take longer.

How can I be sure you received my application?

You'll see an "Application Submitted Successfully" message when we've received your application. You'll also get an email confirmation. You can also check your NEOGOV account (click "Application Status").

Is the pay range negotiable?

No. Because collective bargaining units (unions) negotiated the pay ranges, they are firm. You can negotiate a starting salary within the listed range.

Do you take resumes for positions that aren't currently open?

No, we take resumes only when they're part of an application for an open position. If you're interested in a job that's not currently hiring, you can request to receive email alerts. We will then be able to notify you when a position opens in a specific job category or class title.

I missed the application deadline. Can I still apply?

Sorry, we only consider applications submitted by the posting's close date and time.

When will we contact you for an interview?

First you'll find out from Human Resources if we've placed you on the eligible list. If the hiring manager then decides to interview you, they'll contact you directly. You can always check your "Application Status" in NEOGOV or contact Human Resources.
