Health insurance
The City offers eligible employees and their dependents medical insurance through Medica. You have a choice of five provider networks, allowing you to find the best option for you and your family.
HRA/VEBA spending account
The City contributes to an HRA/VEBA spending account for employees enrolled in the City's medical plan. You can use this account to pay for eligible health care expenses.

Dental insurance
We pay 100% of the premiums for Delta Dental insurance for employees and their dependents.
City employees earn a pension. You also have choices for optional retirement savings programs.
Pension
We participate in the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA). You and the City both contribute a percentage of your pay to fund future benefits.
Deferred compensation
Employees may choose to participate in pretax or after-tax savings plans through the Minnesota State Retirement System (MSRS).
