Who can apply

You can apply to adopt a pet from our shelter if you:

• Are at least 18-years-old
• Can show a valid government-issued ID with your current address
• Have knowledge and consent of all adults living in your household
• Have your landlord’s consent to bring an animal onto the property
• Understand that all other pets in your house must be up to date on their rabies vaccine
• Understand that we have the right to refuse the adoption of any animal

You can only adopt a pet in person at our shelter. We do not:

• Take online applications
• Pre-approve adoptions
• Put pets on hold

About pets

All animals available for adoption are healthy.

All cats and dogs available for adoption are:

• Spayed or neutered
• Vaccinated
• Microchipped

If it's not a good match

If the pet you adopt is not a good match for you and your family, you can return them.

• If you return the pet within 14 days, we will refund the adoption fee.
• If you return the pet after 14 days, we will not refund the adoption fee.
• We will work to find new homes for all returned pets.

How to apply

To adopt a pet:

We no longer require appointments to adopt an animal. View available pets online, then visit us between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Complete an application when you come to the shelter. The kennel areas are currently not open to the public.
