Public Works Service Worker job requirements

These requirements apply to the following positions:

  • Public Works Service Worker I Trainee
  • Public Works Service Worker I
  • Public Works Service Worker II

All applicants must successfully complete

  • Physical agility test
  • Background check
  • Pre-employment medical exam
  • Drug & Alcohol screening

Public Works Service Worker I Trainee

Qualifications and experience needed

  • 18 years of age by application deadline
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Own and maintain a valid Class D driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain a Class B CDL with tanker endorsement within 6 months of employment (We'll help you get your CDL)

 

 

Public Works Service Worker I

Qualifications and experience needed

  • 18 years of age by application deadline
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Own and maintain a valid Class B CDL with No Air Brake Restrictions
  • One (1) year of experience performing manual labor in a similar environment, including operating construction equipment

Public Works Service Worker II

Qualifications and experience needed

  • 18 Years of age by application deadline
  • High school Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Possess and maintain a valid Class B CDL with No Air Brake Restrictions
  • One (1) year of experience (within the last five (5) years) and the ability to operate 2 of 5 preselected pieces of equipment
