Property tax statements

Hennepin County mails property tax statements in March. Your first payment is due May 15.

Overview

Hennepin County mails a property tax statement to all Minneapolis property owners in March. 

The tax statement lists:

  • The estimated market value and classification of your property
  • Proposed levies
  • Tax credits
  • Property taxes you owe each unit of government (county, city, school, special taxing district)
  • Special assessments
  • A reminder to see if you qualify for a Minnesota Property Tax Refund

The City cannot provide you with a copy of this statement.
