Work placements

Our staff looks for meaningful work projects that build your skills and stand out on resumes. There is no standard project, but some examples include:

Working with data

  • Testing and recommending data collection protocols
  • Building databases and data visualization tools
  • Data reporting in human resources

Doing research

  • Researching policy implementation strategies on affordable housing
  • Conducting focus groups on youth violence prevention strategies

Guiding workshops and outreach

  • Coordinating emergency preparedness workshops
  • Doing community outreach for comprehensive planning
  • Leading culturally relevant learn-to-bike workshops

Communications projects

  • Doing video and digital communication production
