As part of the Minneapolis City Council’s ongoing work of considering the Mayor’s 2027 Recommended Budget, City Council will hear nearly 40 presentations from City staff, which started on Monday, Sept. 14.
City Council expects to hear from City staff about the potential impact of the Mayor’s recommendations on their operations. Below is a list of scheduled presentation topics. Available presentations can be viewed in the budget presentations file on LIMS.

Upcoming public hearings
In addition to these City presentations, City Council is expected to hold a number of public hearings in September and October.
The Truth in Taxation Hearing and budget adoption vote are expected to take place on Tuesday, Dec. 15. Learn more about the City Council’s role in the budget process.
A final budget plan must be adopted by at least seven affirmative votes and approved by the Mayor before the end of the year.
