The Peoples’ Way at George “Perry” Floyd Square

Overview

We’re searching for a community partner to redevelop the Peoples’ Way. We released a request for qualifications in September, with an Oct. 19 deadline. It was open to nonprofit and for-profit organizations with real estate development experience. We received proposals from two groups:

• PGMA Development
• RiverNorth Development

City staff are reviewing their proposals. We will recommend a finalist to the mayor and City Council. If approved, the selected applicant will be offered a period of exclusive development rights to further develop their plan.

Time: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. 

Location: 38th & Chicago Field Office, 3736 Chicago Ave.

We’re having an open house so community can meet the applicant teams and learn about their proposals. Representatives from PGMA Development and RiverNorth Development and City staff will be available to answer questions. Paper and digital comment cards will be available to share feedback.
