Partners provide an easier and more streamlined experience.
They can give you more hands-on help and guide you through the process.
What they do
Our funding partners can do many things, including:
- Provide funding on the City's behalf
- Find and fill out utility rebate applications that can help cover the cost of your project
- Help get quotes for your proposed projects
- Help identify contractors to complete your projects
Commercial partners
We have partners that help commercial, industrial and multifamily properties get energy efficiency funding.
Residential partners
We have partners that help residential properties get energy efficiency funding.
Direct City funds
Direct City funds explained
You can get grants directly from the City by completing our application.
This process is a good fit for:
- Larger buildings
- Manufacturing facilities, or
- Those with a project already in mind
Benefits of this method include:
- Working directly with City staff
- The potential to qualify for higher grants
What you do
With this method, you would receive less technical assistance.
To get funding this way, you will need to:
- Plan out your project and get bids for each element
- Complete the grant application
- Create a vendor account in our financial system
- Sign a contract with the City
- Submit the required project completion documents
- Invoice the City to get your grant award
Commercial energy efficiency grants
This grant is open throughout the year and has multiple deadlines. We expect the next application period to open in January 2027.
You can apply for funding for smaller energy efficiency projects for:
- Commercial properties
- Industrial properties
- Multifamily properties
These grants are up to $75,000.
Innovative pollution reduction grants
This grant is open throughout the year and has multiple deadlines.
You can apply for funding for smaller pollution reduction projects for:
- Commercial properties
- Industrial properties
- Multifamily properties
These grants are up to $175,000.
Large greenhouse gas reduction funding
This is a request for proposals that we release once a year for large scale projects.
You can apply for funding for pollution reduction projects for:
- Commercial properties
- Industrial properties
- Multifamily properties
These grants are between $175,000 and $500,000.
