City conducts its post-election review tomorrow

November 27, 2023

The City conducts its post-election review tomorrow morning. Election officials will hand-count ballots from two precincts in the Nov. 7 election to evaluate results produced by voting equipment. The review is open to the public.

Post-election review
9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28
Election & Voter Services, 980 E. Hennepin Ave.

Two precincts were randomly selected for the review during the Nov. 13 Canvassing Board meeting: precinct 7 in Ward 6 and precinct 8 in Ward 13.

Minneapolis City Code (section 167.130) requires a post-election review to verify the accuracy of the ballot data used for ranked-choice voting tabulation. The ballot data used in tabulation comes from ballot scanners. During the review, election officials manually inspect ballots to confirm that the first, second, and third choice ranking on each ballot matches the data from the ballot scanners.

Following the review’s completion, results will be available at vote.minneapolismn.gov.
