Visit the City of Minneapolis Public Works Department’s table outside Cookie Cart to learn about the As You Go MPLS mode-shift marketing campaign. Public Works, in collaboration with the City’s Communications Department, has launched a multi-year mode-shift marketing effort designed to encourage people to leave their personal vehicle at home and try walking, rolling, biking or taking transit for more of their daily trips.

The campaign supports the City’s Transportation Action Plan, which includes a goal of having 60% of trips in Minneapolis taken by walking, biking, or transit by 2030. The As You Go MPLS program encourages Minneapolis residents who are open to walking, biking, and/or public transit, to try those travel modes in low-stress situations to overcome the initial hurdles of familiarity and awareness.
