What to know

City law does not allow grass taller than eight inches on private property.

If we find grass taller than eight inches:

• An inspector may issue an order to the property owner giving them at least three days to cut it.
• If the owner does not correct the violation, inspectors may:
  • Find a contractor to cut the grass
  • Assess the costs and administrative fees to the owner
