Project overview

The City of Minneapolis, in coordination with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB), proposes to reconstruct several streets in the Upper Harbor Terminal development project area in north Minneapolis.

All of these streets will provide access to the new Upper Harbor site.

Dowling Ave. N.

City staff propose to reconstruct Dowling Ave. N. from Lyndale Ave. N. to the Mississippi River.

The main way to get to the new Upper Harbor Terminal area will be via Dowling Ave. N.

33rd Ave. N.

City staff propose to reconstruct 33rd Ave. N. from 2nd St. N. to the Mississippi River.

The other main way to get to the new Upper Harbor Terminal area will be via 33rd Ave. N. This street also provides access to the riverfront and local businesses.

W. River Pkwy.

The City will also construct a new segment of parkway along W. River Pkwy. from 33rd Ave. N. north along the Mississippi River.

The new parkway segment will provide access to the Upper Harbor Terminal area. It will eventually connect to the Minneapolis Grand Rounds.
